Qualification, age and experience
IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria 2026
Age is calculated as on 1 September 2026. Required educational qualifications and professional experience must be completed by 21 September 2026.
Office Assistants (Multipurpose)
Age: Between 18 and 28 years.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent.
Additional requirement: Proficiency in the prescribed local language. Working knowledge of computers is desirable.
Officer Scale I
Age: Above 18 and below 30 years.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent.
Additional requirement: Prescribed local-language proficiency. Computer knowledge is desirable.
Officer Scale II
Age: Above 21 and below 32 years.
Qualification: Depends on the selected General Banking or Specialist Officer post.
Experience: Relevant professional experience of one or two years is generally required according to the role.
Officer Scale III
Age: Above 21 and below 40 years.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks.
Experience: At least five years as an officer in a bank or financial institution.

IBPS RRB Application Fee 2026
Applicable to eligible candidates under the relevant Officer or Office Assistant application.
Applicable to General, OBC, EWS and other candidates not covered by the concessional fee.
For the Office Assistant post, the concessional fee also applies to eligible ESM and DESM candidates. Bank transaction charges, if applicable, must be paid separately. Fees once paid are generally non-refundable.
